When you work on the road it’s quite hard to have a social life. You come and go so often that you lose touch, and when you are finally home you have a completely different schedule than friends. But with my recent schedule change allowing me to be home for 3 months straight, I’ve been able to catch up with some friends and have a social life (something I thought I didn’t have anymore). This past weekend Sandra and I took a road trip to visit Megan – a weekend full of sushi, shopping, wine, fresh lush face masks, and meeting up with our really good friend John that we haven’t seen for at least a year. It’s because of weekend’s like this that I truly love my friends.
My outfit for the day was pretty casual:
JCrew Black Ruffled Pea Coat
American Eagle Dark Skinny Jeans
Grey Woollen Socks
Black Bass Leather Boots
Ray Ban Tortoise-Shell Clubmasters
After some exhausting shopping and stop at Menchie’s for some overpriced frozen yogurt, we return to Megan’s for copious amounts of wine and Lush Face Masks!!!! Truthfully this is the first time that I have ever tried a face mask from Lush and I’m kicking myself for not trying one sooner. I’ve used other Lush products, some of which I love and some of which I hate. But I LOVED this face mask!! I tried The Sacred Truth – a skin conditioning formula of anti-oxidant wheatgrass, green tea and papaya. It smelt amazing, and my skin felt as soft as butter when I washed it off after about 15 minutes. I’m really into the freshness of Lush products, as well as the fact that they are homemade. And the company has such strong beliefs against animal testing and recycling. Both Megan and Sandra tried different masks – Cosmetic Warrior and Catastrophe Cosmetic and they both really loved theirs as well (we even managed to get John to try one out!) After such a good experience I know that I will be purchasing another Lush face mask in the future. You have to use them quick though. They have a very short shelf life!
Have you tried any Lush face masks? Which are your favourite Lush products?
