Each and every time I go home, my mom, sister and I riffle through our beauty stash and suggest, test and trade each other’s products. Over the past two months we seem to have stepped up our game – summertime bringing shopping splurges and enough garden parties to step up the makeup game. So I’ve come away with my own haul of gifted products, a mix of things that just didn’t work out for their original purchaser, and things I twisted their arm for.

Sephora 10HR Wear Perfection Foundation: a great take from my sister. She found the formula a little too thick for her liking. She’s much paler than me, so this will be a good winter foundation – passed on to me.

Estee Lauder Pleasures Body Lotion: Not necessarily the biggest fan, but I love travel sized anything. So…passed on to me.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain:  in Honey. My sister and I fought for the last one in a shoppers about a year ago. I got over it and moved on. She’s now passing it on to me.

The Body Shop All-in-One BB Cream:  the fad of BB creams got to my sister and she purchased this one. Yet she always wants more coverage than a BB cream offers, so it sits unused. Passed on to me.

Revlon Colourstay Lipliner: in wine. Not sure if I like this one yet. I may have something to match but my sister doesn’t, so passed on to me.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil: in mildew. My mom bought a green eyeliner…..passed on to me.

and the grand finale….

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat: 002 I always always always eye this one up. My mom purchased it and wasn’t swayed so she passed it on to my sister who also wasn’t sold on it. So thank the lord, I have my hands on it.
