And I’m okay with it. I remember sitting on the couch with my roommates the night before my 20th Birthday crying over the fact that I was no longer a teenager. And each year the weeks leading up to my Birthday scare me….holy crap I’m getting old! But 23 didn’t scare me and I took it on with a new appreciation for adulthood and life. I’m expecting 23 to be a great year.
I got a few goodies for my Birthday, and a few more are on their way. My lovely sister fulfilled my deepest Birthday wish and got me the Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber cologne. This one has been on my wish list for a long time and I’m so happy to finally have it in my procession. One of my dearest friends found my favourite candy in Toronto!! Something I thought could only be found in Europe. So two packages of Maoams must last me till my next trip across the pond. My parent’s are generously buying me a new MacBook. My 5 year old MacBook Pro is struggling. But I’m waiting till the lineups and crowds attempting to purchase the iPhone 6 die down a bit. I don’t feel the need to battle crowds for a new laptop. And finally, the sweetest gift from Corey. A makeup table/vanity. He’s been looking for months but still hasn’t found a good one yet. He wants to find a good solid piece, kinda vintage or antique. So he’s been looking everywhere for a used one that he’s gonna fix up himself. Can’t wait. Will be perfect in our new place! (oh yeah! A new place. November everyone!)
22 was a year full of new adventures. Some were stressful, some were life changing, some were great. I hope that 23 brings another year of excitement, but with less stress. Thats my goal for 23. To stress less. Let’s see if I can slow the onset of grey hair that I have coming and push the rest back a few more years. Here’s to being young and happy.
Aw happy birthday chick! xx
