Ever since my High School days of grey and maroon plaid kilts and knee socks, I have never willingly reached for, nor worn, plaid, tartan, or any pattern of the like. That’s not to say that I dislike tartan. I think it has it’s own special place for Christmas wrapping and the Scottish. But this year I gave in to the tartan ways in the form of a very large, very wooly, very warm scarf from the depth of the Square One Zara.
I’ve had this guy for about two months now, but for some reason I thought it had to wait until post-Halloween and the early November flurries (yes, Canada is already seeing snow). I like to pair the scarf with a very neutral coloured jacket or sweater, making the scarf the highlight of the outfit and preventing any colour clashing. I think that’s another major reason for my past-avoidance of plaid. You just need to know how to match it. Either way, I love my new Zara Tartan scarf and look forward to wearing it all Winter!!
How do you feel about Tartan? Yay or nay?
I LOVE THIS SCARF SO MUCH
