Chili. The classic dish. The easy-peasy, warm and hearty meal that makes everyone happy and is pretty hard to screw up (you’d think). I love Chili, and didn’t think I was hard to please, but I have certainly had some bad ones in the past. Quickly bordering on the dog-food-esque. My mom and I have been making Chili for years and as I pulled out the crock pot to make a big batch tonight I thought I’d share my recipe with you, cause I love my Chili!
So how do I do it? Embarrassingly simple. Grab the crock pot and the can opener.
1 can of rinsed Red Kidney Beans
1 can of rinsed Black Beans
1 can of Brown Beans in Molasses
1 can of Diced Tomatoes
1 large White Onion
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 package of Ground Turkey
1 envelope of Club House Chili Mix
Few dashed of Oregano
Few dashes of Franks Hot Sauce
First sauté the ground Turkey with half the onion diced and the garlic. Once cooked, combine the other half of the chopped onion and all canned ingredients in crock pot, stir in the Chili Mix and Oregano and set on low for 6 hours or high for 3! NOMS! I’m tucking in to a big bowl now, excuse me while I stuff my face.
