While diverging into some retail therapy on a stressful day I stumbled upon a new Revlon lipstick. When it comes to Revlon lipsticks I’m pretty in the know, but this one snuck up on me; I’d never heard anything about it before. So I had to try it for myself, and of course in a Primose shade because what other shades do I wear?

The Revlon HD Lipstick is a new and revolutionary formula that is a wax-free gel technology – a patent-pending Revlon creation. The lipstick slides on like butter. It’s amazing how much colour you get from one quick swipe, hence the HD name. It truly is high definition colour. The lipstick is not one of Revlon’s ‘colorstay’ formula’s, but still has a very long lasting wear and with such a great coverage that the need for touch ups here and there aren’t required! The new Ultra HD Lipsticks are very similar to Revlon’s Lip Butters, but thicker and more pigmented. Just what I always wanted. And they smell great!!

The Lipsticks come in 20 different shades ranging from the reds to corals and everything in between. I chose the primrose shade, what a surprise. Seems to be my automatic go-to. And with Revlon I’m never disappointed. It’s the perfect combination of colour and gloss. I’m sure I’ll be returning to Shoppers for a few more shades soon.
