Top 5 – February

The past month saw countless days sitting at my desk with 5 days of vacation thrown in and a few hours at the gym each week. There was a wildly extreme lack of makeup and a newfound habit of nervously chewing my nails down to stubs as I search for a new career and hope to get on with my life. Yet although it was a pretty boring month, I definitely still have 5 products that made life a little brighter.

The first of these products is the Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner which I have grown to love and cherish. I finally got my hair cut at the beginning of the month and I’m so much happier with my hair. It may not be completely back to normal, but I know that normalcy will take some time after the horror of last year’s cut. This leave in conditioner has been helping me on a daily basis to keep the frizz to a minimum and help my hair curl the way its supposed to! Been awhile since I’ve seen that.

The next is The Body Shop’s Aloe Protective Serum which I’ve been using on a daily basis. I usually flip flop between this serum and The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Moisture Serum, but after breaking out in a small rash on my face earlier in the month, I stuck with the protective, sensitive skin, healing serum. My skin has been great since! I feel that I’m finally sticking to a good nightly routine and am getting everything I need for my face. Now if only I can figure out which product caused the rash…..

Next, for my Mexico adventures, I’d have to add the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen with SPF 60. I slathered this stuff on several times a day and for once prevented a burn. The sunscreen is nourishing enough to use as a daily moisturizer as well, and doesn’t feel slick or oily on the skin. Of course, since I was on vacation, I needed a favourite lip colour! Am I right? I think I packed more lip pencils than the number of days we were away! My favourite of the trip was the Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balm in the shade unapologetic. I live and breathe by these colour bust matte balms and this was a recent addition to my large collection. It’s a hot pink/coral shade that was perfect for a sunny, tanned skinned vacation.

And last but not least, it’s rare to have a month go by where one of The Body Shop’s Body Butters aren’t mentioned. This month I’ve been travelling and heading to the gym with the small travel sized Olive Body Butter, my favourite scent from the Body Shop!

So there you have it. What have you been loving over the past month?

  1. I have seen the Body shop products pop up everywhere and I want to try some more products from them. I’ll have to add these to that list. Great favorites!
