My Favourite Non-Black Eyeliners

IMG_2814

As much as I try to add more colours into my wardrobe, I’m finding an increasing amount of blacks, whites, and greys taking over. But I don’t have a problem with this –  I’m actually loving it and now I’m challenging myself to find colour in the small details and accessories. I’ve got my bright scarves, colourful shoes, and big chunky jewelry, but what i love most of all are the bright coloured eyeliners that I’ve been using lately. I have a range of liquid and pencil in various colours.

The first, and probably most used due to it’s subtlety, is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Mildew. This is a moss green eye pencil that is so incredibly easy to apply as, like the name suggests, it glides right on. The colour has a bit of a metallic shine to it so it really helps the colour pop in comparison to other darker non-black colours. Next in line of subtlety is the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12h Wear in Matte Purple Stilettos. This dark purple is great for a subtle pop of colour, but my favourite way to use it is to line my bottom water line leaving my top un-lined or with a simple black liner. I love the way this makes my eyes pop. Very similar to the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils, and a cheaper alternative, are the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen which I have in True Teal. This glide on silky pencil gives an incredible pop of teal blue to the eyes, although is easily smudged – a good eye primer is needed here.

Moving on to the liquids I have two that I quite enjoy. The first is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Cobalt. I use this for bold blue wings or thin blue lines – easy to use thick or thin. Unfortunately I find these pens dry up very quickly, which is the state mine is currently in. And last but not least, I think my favourite of them all, is the Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Green Spark. As the name suggest, the felt tip is incredibly skinny and is so easy to use to build up wings or keep it as light and thin as possible. But most of all the colour payoff here is huge! Bright bright electric green lines – and it truly stay. I’ve got to find myself other colours of this liner (comes in black, brown and blue as well).

What are your favourite non-black (and non-brown) eye liners?
