Like all others that are deeply in love with makeup, I tend to sometimes go a little overboard with features that are usually best left natural – such as my brows. I fill in my brows daily with this or that product, but the only thing my natural brows really need is a good brush with a spoolie. I had given up with the daily upkeep of the brow products, but it wasn’t until recently when I picked up a new Anastasia Brow Wiz that the game changed.
I’m a little late on this one. I feel that the bold brow times have started to come to an end and the natural brows are coming back. But lately I’ve been preferring a minimal makeup look with bolder brows – and I’ve got the best combo of products to do just that!
I start, of course, by making sure my brows are neatly plucked with my cute mini Tweezerman tweezers. Then the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown does it’s job by filling in and shaping my brows. I really love how tiny and precise the little nib pencil is. I like to use the spoolie on the end of the brush as well. Just to make sure they keep themselves nicely brushed in place for the day I use the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. I always make sure I only have a tiny amount of the gel on my brush before actually brushing it through my brows. You only need a little but the brush holds enough to give you a perma-wet brow look. Not cool. And finally I brush everything one final time with a plain ‘ol spoolie brush. I just pick up a few every time I get my makeup done at Sephora – I don’t see the need to pay the big bucks for a spoolie.
I don’t like to go overboard with the brows still – but anyone whose seen a pic of my natural brows can see the difference here. Slightly bold – just a little different for a minimalist-bold look. What products do you like to use on your brows?
