As the pile in the corner has escaped the confines of it’s box and the cat has started playing with empty product bottles instead of his toys, I thought it was about time for another empties post. You know, those posts where I share my garbage with you! I still think the idea of an empties post is funny (even though I’m 6 deep now), but I truly speak from experience when I say that these kind of posts show what I’ve liked enough to finish – so let’s take a look.
I’ll start with the hair – My first empty is the Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner that I used every single day until the bottle was gone. I absolutely loved it and have already repurchased. My hair certainly needs any extra help it can get when it comes to moisture, so a leave in conditioner spray is something that I need every single day. I also went through another set of the John Freida Brilliant Brunette Colour Protecting Shampoo and Conditioner. I recently coloured my hair just a little darker, and unfortunately my 24 year old grey hairs (no I’m not kidding) have caused me to continue. I love this nourishing formula and it protects my colour treated hair wash after wash. A little sample bottle of the Bumble and Bumble Beach Waves salt spray was finally finished, but I wouldn’t say I was a fan of this one. Didn’t do anything for my hair. And then finally, the last hair product that has already been repurchased is the It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin which is a MUST if you have tangled curly hair like me. This works great as a daily moisture lock treatment, but also really helps when you’re trying to comb out those tangles.
Moving on to the body – as usual I have a few empty Body Shop bottles. The first is the Satsuma Body Scrub which I had lying around from a Black Friday mass gift bag. I love the formula of the Body Shop’s scrubs, but I’m not the biggest fan of the Satsuma line. And of course, another bottle of my favourite and already repurchased on a larger scale Olive Shower Gel. And to round it all out, two small travel sized items – the Olive Body Lotion and the Coconut Body Scrub.
And last but not least the face – Two more Body Shop items fall in this category as well (I really love the Body Shop). The first is the Chamomile Gentle Eye-Makeup Remover which, truthfully, I’m not a fan of. I mainly used this product all up just to get rid of it and move on to the next. It works great, but smells gross. The second is the Vitamin E Face Mist, which I use every day when I get out of the shower. I just finished this one up yesterday and it’s my second or third bottle. Even though I am extremely fond of it, I may go back to the Lush Breath of Fresh Air spray just for a change. I also managed to squeeze the last drop out of my beloved Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel which I have yet to repurchase, but am yearning for daily. And finally, two small makeup items. Not at all surprised I finished up the Maybelline Age Rewind Eye Eraser as it’s one of the best products I’ve ever used. And the CK One Mascara, which dried up on me.
