Cause who says you can’t crack out a smokey eye on an uneventful Sunday? I’ve been playing around with my makeup stash recently and have been creating a few new looks that I’ve been absolutely loving, so it’s about time I shared a few of those with you. So today we’ll start with my favourite and most simple of them all, the easy smokey eye featuring my coveted Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye palette.
There really isn’t an easier or simpler way to create a smokey eye than with the step-by-step process in the Kat Von D Shade and Light palette. Following the simple smokey eye instructions, you can create six really easy looks with this palette (even more if you’re adventurous). Today I stuck with the Cool Quad and although I followed the “Natural Eye” rather than the “Smokey” eye look the results were perfectly smokey. This cool quad is perfect for lifting the eyes and smoking it out without darkening your eyes too much. Perfect for an every-day smokey eye. The colours I used were Lazarus all over my lid, Saleos in the outer corner and crease, Liberatus in the inner corner, and Shax along the upper and lower lash line. Blend, blend, blend.
The rest of the look was pretty simple as well. I used my favourite Clinique Superbalanced Makeup foundation in the shade Petal blended in well with my Beauty Blender Pro. I evened out my skin tone and under my eyes with NARS Creamy Concealer and set that all with Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder. Then I created a simple contour with my easy-to-use Smashbox Contour Kit, added some extra colour with Tarte Amazonian Baked Blush in Exposed, and highlighted it with Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop.
Fixing up my eyebrows with my favourite Pixie Brow Duo, finishing my eyes with my Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara, and a little colour on the lips with the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Lip Balm in Curvy Caramel.
All done. Maybe a bit much for an uneventful Sunday, but why not? What is your favourite look using the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye palette?
