Review – Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick

DSC_0221

I literally can’t think of any beauty product I love more than a long wear lipstick. Having the same coverage all day long without needing to reapply is amazing! I hate when lipsticks wear off, cake and flake after an hour of talking; and we all know how much I like to talk. So discovering a new long-lasting formula just makes my day!

I’m talking about the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long-Wear Lipstick. This little baby hit the shelves awhile ago and is something I’ve had my eye on for quite some time. I saw friends and others online falling in love with the formula and the colours so when one of my best friends gifted this to me recently I squealed with joy. Yeah, I’m not so attractive with my joyous reactions sometimes. She picked out the shade Melted Berry for me; a safe bet as I LOVE berry shades.

I’ve been testing it out for a few days now. I love the formula; a matte finish that isn’t too drying and actually feels quite moisturizing on the lips during the day. I definitely recommend a lip liner for this one though as it does seem to bleed out a little while drying. I can talk, eat and drink the day away without having to worry about re-applying. Yet although it’s long lasting stay put power works wonders, I do seem to manage to get it all over my hands with the slightest brush by. As well as on my shirt as I got changed. Kinda baffling how it can last through eating but comes off on the napkin….hmmm.

Either way it’s stay power is pretty good, just be careful when wiping your mouth with that napkin. I’m excited to try some new products by Too Faced as this was my first foray into this well known and increasingly popular brand! Although I think I’ll stick to my favourite Stila and Kat Von D for long lasting liquid lipsticks.

What are your favourite Too Faced products? What should I have a look at next?
