Review – Tarte Amazonian Clay Eye Shadow Quad

DSC_0344

I’ve fallen in love with yet another Tarte Amazonian Clay product! This time it’s the Amazonian Clay Eye Shadow Quad in the shade Eye Candy! As part of a limited edition set that was out at Christmas, this plum themed palette is perfectly compact and has everything you’ll ever need for your eyeshadow travel needs!

I’m serious in saying that since I got my hands on this little quad I haven’t packed anything else eyeshadow wise when I’m going away. Whether its just the weekend or even a full week, this little quad is perfect for so many different looks. The four shades (from top left, clockwise) are Taffy, Lollipop, Jellybean and Bubblegum. Like all other Tarte shadows, they are so easily blended and create such a soft, sultry look.

I like to use Bubblegum in the crease and inner corner to brighten my eyes, while using Taffy all over the lid and Jellybean subtly in the outer corner. This creates such a subtle, every-day soft lilac coloured eye! So easy and perfect for a day when you’re not really looking for anything special. But when you need that little oomph, I love using Taffy in the crease as a transition colour, Jellybean over my whole lid, and Lollipop along the upper and lower lash line, blending it all out with a blending brush (preferably Mac 217, of which mine is disgustingly dirty in the above picture).

The palette is the perfect travelling companion; fitting perfectly in the palm of your hand! Tarte continues to amaze me with the amazing blend-ability and quality of their amazonian clay products.
