March was a weird month. Extremely uneventful and dull. My working days are getting longer and my days off are getting more and more stressful with adult life (this seems to be a reoccurring sentiment each and every month). Either way, the month was dotted with one or two days with a bit of eyeshadow, but mainly just days of cleansing and moisturizing; trying to maintain some semblance of alertness after 60 hour work weeks.
On occasion, when I actually managed to look nice this past month, I turned to my most recent favourite and coveted Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye palette. I absolutely love the neutral shades and the amazing coverage that these high quality shadows give. I’ve tried more than a dozen different looks over the past few months with this palette and I seriously can’t get enough of it! I reach for this any day that I need a bit of a pick-me-up!
As per usual, my days consist of nothing more than a slap of tinted moisturizer and a bit of mascara. But there is no mascara that I’ve been reaching for more than the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. The packaging kinda gets on my nerves a bit, but I truly love this mascara. I even have it in travel sized for any emergency needs. And I haven’t found a product more perfect for my brows than the Pixi Brow Duo which I’m already trying to source out a replacement for even when I’m less than halfway through. I hate how some of the good ones are so hard to find.
Then the main monthly uses, the cleanser and moisturizer. You may have read my recent review of the Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Deep Cleaning Facial Cleanser. It’s been perfect for relaxing and deep cleaning after such long days of work. The long days also bring some stress and horrible eating habits that cause a few spots along the way, so The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion has been the perfect moisturizer to keep things under control.
I certainly hope that with the coming of the warming weather and some more sunshine that I’ll be back into the swing of things and happier with my makeup. It’s about time to experiment some more and play with all my products. Time to crack out some lipsticks and get some good use out of my old favourites! Can’t wait for the summer!
