I’m always excited to try new hair products. Especially when the ones I’ve been loving for so long have started to let me down. I’ve been using the Herbal Essences Naked Shampoo and Conditioner for a few years now, but I’ve just noticed that while it may be doing wonders for my hair, my scalp has really been suffering. So I knew it was time for a change. My dried-out, brittle, and shedding curls are always in need of extra extra extra moisture and I love to use products that have natural ingredients, if not at least understandable. I’ve heard many many good things about almost all OGX products so I thought it was time to give it a go, so I started with the Quenching Coconut Curls Shampoo and Conditioner.

With natural coconut oil and honey, both the shampoo and conditioner smell absolutely amazing. I’ve actually really been looking forward to my showers because I’m so relaxed with the scent. I love the texture of the conditioner; perfectly silky and smooth, but I’m not too fond of the texture of the shampoo. I find it a bit lumpy and gelatinous (if that makes sense), and I really have to work it into a good lather in order to disperse it properly through my hair. The end results? I do find that my curls are holding up much better than most curl enhancing claiming shampoo and conditioner duo’s, but the frizz? Nope. It’s still there. Something that I have the hardest time dealing with and something that so many products are unable to help me with.

I’m quite enjoying the OGX products, but am still on the lookout for those frizz beating beauties. Anyone know of any?
