With 50 states and so many awesome places to go, it’s hard to pinpoint just a few favorite cities in the United States of America. From Alaska to Hawaii and everything in between, the cities are amazingly diverse and exciting. From the food to the museums and the landmark sights to spectacular driving routes, there is so much to see in the USA. Here are three of our favorite cities in the United States to get you started. But look out for more on the way, because there is just too many to fit in one post!
Orlando
Release your inner child and head to the land of Disney dreams and whimsical wonderland in Orlando, Florida. You’ll be met with beautiful beaches, a laid back lifestyle, excellent shopping and of course some of the best theme parks in the world! Orlando is of course home to Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Orlando Resort. From September through to mid-November The Epcot Centre holds the International Food and Wine Festival. Foodies will love this fantastic celebration of global cuisine. There are guest chefs, food demos and a festival vibe. Outside of the theme parks Orlando also offers great golf, shopping and spas. Don’t forget that before travelling to the US you’ll need to head to the official Esta application website to get your electronic visa. You’ll need this visa to enter the country.
New York
Buzzing all day and night, New York City is a must visit in the USA. It’s an exhilarating journey of bright lights, Broadway and brilliant museums and landmarks. No first visit is complete without a magical trip up the Empire State Building or a ferry trip over to the Statue of Liberty. Peruse incredible art at The Met and MOMA. Take a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park and go on a magical ice skating adventure at the Rockefeller Centre. Stroll across the Brooklyn bridge, watch Shakespeare in the Park and get your hipster vibes on in the Meatpacking District. You’ll also want to spend a day shopping in Manhattan. Here you can experience all the big department stores from Bloomingdale’s to Barney’s and Macy’s to Saks. It’s also worth popping into the iconic Tiffany and Co. For gastronomical delights, you’ll want to experience a Michelin starred restaurant. Eleven Madison Park and Jean-Georges are two incredible Michelin three-star restaurants in NYC.
Las Vegas
Head to the city that never sleeps for high-octane fun, glamour and great food! Las Vegas literally has it all. The hotels are majestic, the nightlife rocks and the swimming pool parties are amazing. Book a Cirque de Soleil, see the Pussycat Dolls and splash the cash at Caesars Palace Forum Shops. See the Bellagio Fountains light up and dance to the sound of music and take a gondola ride at The Venetian. Enjoy the amazing mixologists at the Strip’s bars, swim with dolphins at The Mirage and swim with sharks at the Mandalay Bay. Incredible high-end restaurants include sashimi and sushi at Bar Masa, the best steak in the world at CUT and exquisite lobster at Joël Robuchon.
