When you first get engaged, nothing can seem quite as exciting to you as getting married. You’re looking forwards to being with the love of your life for the rest of your life and you just want the day to arrive. Then, when you’re fully into the planning stage, ti can sometimes tart to feel all a bit too much. Because planning a wedding can be stressful. So, when and if it does start to get stressful, don’t let any complications or hassles affect you. Try to do what you can to make the entire process as easy and pain-free as possible. And if you’re not entirely sure how you’re going to do that yet, hopefully some of these ideas will show you how.
It’s hard enough to decide on a main wedding colour of theme, but when you have bridesmaids dresses to organise too, it can get a little stressful. If you have a lot of bridesmaids, you might not know what to choose that can suit them all, they might have expressed opinions on what they don’t want to wear, or you could just find that the options you like are all far too expensive. So, instead of letting it get to you, think outside of the traditional wedding box and choose and alternative bridesmaid dresses instead – you could even look to get it from your favourite store.
Wedding favours are such a small thing in terms of the scale of the day itself, but they can often cause a lot of issues. You can find yourself wracking your brains trying to figure out what you want to go for. Instead, just don’t! Opt something simple and chic, cheap and cheerful. Sugared almonds are classic and easy to prepare, but you could also choose any kind of candy you like and achieve the same effect.
When you’ve got your theme, you might like it to reflect in your wedding stationery. Regardless of the style you go for, you could always have a go at doing them yourself, to keep all of your stationery within the same theme. Even if you’re not the most creative of people, you can find wedding invitation templates and more online. Then, all you need to do is print them out or send them of to be professionally printed and you’re stress-free and ready to go.
When it all gets too much, it might be time to take a break. Your man’s stag do might be a cause of stress for you, but even if it’s not, it’s the perfect excuse to plan a little getaway. When your future husband heads off on his trip, take that time to rest and relax yourself. Why not book in for a spa weekend with the girls, or take your Mum on a nice mini break. It could be all you need to take the stress out of wedding planning.
And then of course there’s the hen do. If you don’t know where your Maid of Honour is taking you (or even if you do), get your outfits in order early. You might find that you don’t need a lot, but there’s nothing like stressing over what to wear to ruin the enjoyment of planning everything else!
