Finding fun days out for all the family is important if you want to stop everyone getting bored and have some great family time. But once you’ve done some of the usual family activities, you can start to get a bit bored. Whether you’re at home or traveling, there are always more unusual things to do to keep everyone interested.
Try Some Interesting Food or Drink
If you’re a foodie family, you might enjoy seeking out some new food or drink to try. Of course, this isn’t necessarily an unusual activity, but there are always slightly more obscure things to try.
Get Out of an Escape Room
Escape rooms have become very popular, and you can now often find a number of them in any city. Some are suitable for the whole family, and they can be a good way to get everyone to put their heads together and work as a team.
Visit a Niche Interest Museum
Museums are often fun for families to visit, but don’t just stick to the big ones. There are also plenty of smaller and more unusual museums that have very specific themes. Seek out the museums that are only open once a month or are hidden away in an old house.
See an Obscure Library Collection
Similarly, you might enjoy seeing an obscure library collection or exhibit. These can include books but often feature other interesting items too, including both printed materials and other artefacts. Seek them out to see something a little different.
