Blogmas Day 16: Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide

You’ve got the luxury gifts, you’ve got the budget gifts, so today it’s time to share the mini-sized best of both worlds; the best Stocking Stuffer items!

Stocking stuffers don’t necessarily need to be in a certain price range, but I like to stick with items that come in a smaller size! Everything has to fit in that stocking, right? Sephora is amazing for travel essentials and mini, sample sized, products. The aisle of doom I like to call it. You know, that aisle that you stand in as you wait to pay for your purchases, doubling your subtotal between the aisle and the counter. Yeah, that one. It’s perfect for your stocking stuffer shopping.

To start, check to see if there are small sample sizes or travel sizes of the products that you already love, or that you know your friends and family love. For me, that would be the Glamglow Mud to Foam Cleanserwhich I absolutely adore and want to share with everyone! I’ll shove this guy in as many stockings as I can reach. Or, as you saw in my Pamper Gift Guide, you can gift the joy of Peter Thomas Roth with the Mini Mask Trio or individual travel sized masks. Whether or not your friends and family have tried them before, I know they’ll be hooked.

Next, take a look at the great brands that you love and trust that come out with great stocking stuffers and minis specifically for the holiday season! Things such as the Formula X Clix which you can see above in the sets The Match and All That Matters. These are great gifts for those who love nails and polish, or even those who are hard to shop for. The cutest little collection of amazing colours from a great brand. Or, not holiday specific but still mini and amazing, the NARS Mini Lip Pencils in either Velvet Matte or Satin. Tons of colours to choose from for my absolute favourite formula and brand of lip pencil. Someone please fill my stocking with more of these!

You can even try some non-mini but still small sized products. Check out the sale items on Sephora if you wanna stick in a “stocking-esque” budget. That’s where I recently found the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette which is perfect for that flawless holiday face with a warm flush. And is still the perfect stocking size! Or the makeup tool that should be in everyone’s arsenal, the BrushEgg. The most perfect tool for brush cleaning. Anyone who owns at least one makeup brush needs this.

What are your ideas for stocking stuffers this year?

Blogmas Day 13: The Pamper Gift Guide

DSC_0212

Welcome to the first day of a week-long gifting guide! It’s crunch time for holiday shopping with only two weeks and one full weekend left to get it all done. But if you’re having trouble shopping for your friends and loved ones, than stick with me. Every day from today to next Saturday I’ll be sharing a different gift guide with you, culminating in my wish list for this holiday season (head’s up those who still have to shop for me!). So to kick it all off on a cozy Sunday I’ll give you my idea for a pamper gift guide; perfect gifts for those who love to relax and enjoy a little bit of time for themselves!

When it comes to pamper shopping I believe you can get it all done with just two shops: Sephora and Bath and Body Works. These are my favourite spots to pick up a few pampering items for myself. They always have some amazing deals on gift items and are flush with the pamper types.

First stop, Sephora. My favourite parts of ‘pamper Sunday’s’ are the face masks. Sephora has a great selection of course, from almost any brand in their arsenal. I love the cheap $8 Sephora sheet masks that come in about 8 different kinds (16 if you include the eye sheet masks too). I always pick up a few of these in preparation for a girls weekend. My other face mask loves from Sephora are the Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Trio Pumpkin Enzymes Mask, Cucumber De-Tox Mask, and Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask. As a Sephora exclusive for only $25, you can get these three mini sample sizes of Peter Thomas Roth’s most popular masks! At about $50 each for the full size it’s a great buy! And you get to try three different, relaxing, calming, exfoliating masks.

Second stop, Bath and Body Works. You can always find great gifts in here. Whether it’s candles, soaps, lotions and creams, or some of their fun bath products, Bath and Body Works ALWAYS has an amazing selection and great deals. My favourite picks here are from the Aromatherapy line. I LOVE the Stress Relief Eucalyptus and Spearmint Candle, as well as the Stress Relief Eucalyptus and Tea Body Lotion. But my favourite is the Sleep Lavender and Chamomile Pillow Spray. A MUST on those stressful long days.

Hopefully that helps in a few gifting ideas. Gift a day of pamper at home! Don’t like the pamper ideas? Stay tuned for 7 more days of gift guides coming your way!

Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Magic

FullSizeRender

Another Sephora exclusive! The Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Magic – a sample sized trio of three of Peter Thomas Roth’s most loved masks. I’ve heard amazing things about these masks and have been dying to try them, but at about $56 a pop I’d much rather opt for the $16 sample sized version of these three magic masks.

The first of the three is the Cucumber Gel Mask, an extreme detoxifying hydrator. This mask is great for those rough days, those mornings after a night out, and after exfoliating. Smooth it over your face, leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse it off with cool water for a super soft, amazing feeling hydrated face! Soothe, detoxify, and hydrate dry, irritated skin.

The second is the Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask. Want the most soothing, cooling, sensual smelling mask? This is the one for you. I absolutely love it! The packaging says to leave it on for 10 minutes, but I love leaving it on as long as possible, even overnight! It’s intensive repair and I awake to a bright and fresh looking face! It replicates rose stem-cells for an age defying serum. This one may be my favourite, but I’m not ready to make a decision yet.

And last but not least is the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. This is the one I’ve heard the most about. I’ve read and watched bloggers rant and rave about this one. It’s an amazing exfoliator. I’m always nervous about exfoliators being too harsh for my face, but this is a super gentle exfoliator that leaves my face feeling refreshed and moisturized. I’m loving it. It’s amazing for dull, congested skin!

I need time for a little more testing to figure out which of these are going to be full-time additions to the weekly line-up, but I’ve been loving playing around with all three of these masks! Praise be to Sephora for bringing us amazing exclusives such as this.
